We are pleased to announce that on 17th February 2021 the nomination to have the land at The Garstons adjacent to 1 Stonehill Close, Great Bookham as an Asset of Community Value under the Assets of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012 has been approved by MVDC Planning Committee.
This is a great result for the village and we would like to thank the 170+ residents who supported this campaign by making submissions to MVDC during the consultation stage.
We would particularly like to thank the project team of: Keith Slark; Peter Seaward; Doug McCann; Angela Benny; Les Huett; John Pagella; Cllr Clare Curran; Nigel Smith; Frances Fancourt; Andrew Freeman and Diane Poole for their efforts in bringing this initiative to a successful conclusion.
Following this designation of Asset of Community Value, the BRA team will be arranging for some seating and appropriate tree and shrub planting to give the Garstons triangle a much needed uplift for the community to enjoy.
