Please note: The SSC Survey is now closed.
Background
Norbury Park is a key site in the Surrey County Council’s (SCC) owned and managed Countryside Estate. Norbury Park has been in the ownership of SCC since the early 1930s and was purchased by the Council to protect the land from being broken up for housing development. Sitting within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the site covers 530 hectares (1310 acres) and is a much-valued resource for recreation, farming, woodland and nature.
The Engagement Exercise.
The vision for Norbury Park is to provide for both nature and enjoyment through a balance of rich natural habitats and facilities to support community use. The land, buildings and activities within it will offer enhanced opportunities for the enjoyment by the local community as well as maximising the provision of habitats for nature and managing the effects of climate change.
This consultation is seeking the views of local residents and users of Norbury Park on the emerging vision for Norbury Park. The questions are in two sections – About specific elements of the vision which we would like your input to shape and develop; and questions about you.
Your feedback will be used to inform the direction and develop our plans for Norbury Park and is greatly appreciated.
The survey closes on 29th November.
